A new privacy screen has been installed at the north end of the concession stand at George Foreman North Park addressing a concern near the girls' restroom.
Justin Nary, a member of the Volunteer Park and Recreation Commission and owner of Taylor Fencing, noticed a need for a privacy screen at the north end of the concession stand which is the entrance to the girls’ restroom. As a father of three girls, Nary recognized the importance of the improvement and promptly acted. He assigned and deployed his crew to install a privacy fence that addresses the concern.
The fence was installed using the "king+" method. A 2-3/8-inch x 8 feet galvanized Schedule 40 post was driven more than four feet into the ground. Notably, no wood was placed below ground level, a design choice intended to improve the strength and longevity of the structure. The metal posts are enclosed to maintain a uniform appearance, and the fence features Japanese cedar pickets.
The addition enhances both privacy and aesthetics at the park, offering a simple yet meaningful improvement to the community space.
City Administrator Barb Stuck praised the effort, saying, “It’s so nice to have things just get done with no big production – just a spontaneous improvement. Thank you Nary’s and Taylor Fencing!”
