Local Teen to Pursue Aviation

Decatur County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce Kelly Lloyd as a recipient of the 2024 Decatur County Farm Bureau Scholarship. Farm Bureau awards 2- $1000 scholarships annually to deserving high school students of Farm Bureau members in Decatur County. Kelly is the daughter of Elizabeth and Kevin Lloyd of Lamoni. She will graduate from Lamoni High School in May and plans to attend Future Flyers of Iowa Flight School, majoring in Aviation and a minor in Agriculture. She is a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, 4-H and Student Council, ROCCS and Future Business Leaders of America. She has participated in basketball, track, volleyball and softball.

After school, she plans to come back to southern Iowa and pursue her passion of Aviation by becoming a crop duster and providing a much-needed service to the agriculture community. Decatur County Farm Bureau would like to congratulate Kelly and appreciate her commitment to Farm Bureau’s mission of creating a vibrant future for agriculture, farm families and their communities. We wish her much success next year.
